3M Polyester Film Electrical Tape 56 is a 1 mil polyester film tape with a yellow rubber thermosetting adhesive.Designed for insulating applications requiring high dielectric strength with a thin, durable film backing. It has a rubber thermosetting adhesive coating and a low adhesion backsize coating which makes it suitable for automatic taping. It is used in applications of coil outerwrap, inner-layer insulation, capacitor wrap, and assorted other holding applications. The thermosetting rubber adhesive is aggressive and suited for adhering to oily magnet wire. By heat curing, the thermosetting adhesive can be made to resist common industry varnish solvents. UL Recognized for continuous use to 130°C (266°F).

#56使用熱固性橡膠，經過熱固程序 ( 120°C ; 3 hrs或 135°C ; 1.5 hrs 或 150°C ; 1 hrs )擇一處理後，其耐溶劑性會提昇至三級以上，(一般耐溶劑性為二級)。
